For someone looking to get into M&A and private equity what are the best peridocals to read? Economist,WSJ,etc

What are a good combination of peridocials to read? Currently I read the economist and am looking to subscribe to the WSJ. I am a college graduate with a degree in Economics/Finance and transitioning out of the military into the financial field. I am looking to get into M&A, Foriegn Exchange, or Private Equity and would like to know a good combination of peridicals to keep abreast with. I am looking at WSJ, Harvard Business Review, Economist, Fast Company, Forbes, Business Week and would like to know which are geared towards the fields I have chosen. Asked by DonArena, 715 days ago

The Wall Street Journal is a foundation - people assume you've read it every day, so start there. The Economist and the Financial Times provide not only excellent analysis, but a flavor of the kind of thinking that goes on outside the U.S. Of the major business magazines, BusinessWeek is, to me, the most valuable - Fast Company and Fortune are too breathless and I rarely find strong insights there. Don't forget about trade magazines and Web sites for particular industries you're interested in, too.
